Chap 7..13 with Plan 13 Bankruptcy Filing Software Version 12.8a (3/31/14)

Prior installation of Chap 7..13 Version 12 (CD) is necessary in order to successfully install this upgrade.

This release contains important means test updates to median income figures which become effective April 1, 2014. Please note the effect this will have on your case filings:

  1. NEW CASES: If you open a new case and file it prior to April 1, 2014, you will need to manually change the means test data (close to the top of the data input screen) to the pre-April 1, 2014 data prior to filing the case.
  2. EXISTING CASES: For cases already opened at the time you update your software AND filed after April 1, 2014, change the means test data at the top of the means test data entry screen.

General Program Updates/Issues

The following issues encountered in 12.6 and noted on the download page in the release notes for 12.7 have been resolved. These three issues should only be occurring in cases that were opened prior to the 12.6 update and not new cases created in subsequent releases. In order to complete the resolution of these issues, users must first go to the Initial Filing Tab on the Print Reports Window and remove the existing Schedules I and J and their continuation pages. Next, click on the Add Doc button and add the Schedules I and J and their continuation pages back in to the Print Reports Menu from the Document Finder.

We apologize for the inconvenience of having to remove and add forms, but we assure you that this is a temporary solution, and you will not have to do this in future releases.

  • If any dependents are listed in the Budget Window, all of the dependent checkboxes on Schedule J and its continuation page are checked "yes."
  • For existing cases, when a workspace is updated from 12.6 to 12.7, the employer information for the first job of the debtor and spouse appears in the Budget Window but may not appear on Schedule I.
  • The spouse's "employed" and "unemployed" checkboxes do not fill onto the Schedule I after updating from 12.6 to 12.7, and on a 12.7 new case both the "employed" and "unemployed" boxes are checked for the spouse if the spouse is unemployed.
